Member Spotlight: CannonBelles

Do you know the talented trio at CannonBelles? They’re our CVG Member Spotlight of the week!

Deeann Lufkin and Jackie Ohmann began the challenge of making their own cheese in the fall of 2012. After many iterations they finally felt ready to share their cheese with the world, so they turned to dairy expert and friend, Kathy Hupf, who enthusiastically joined Deeann and Jackie to create the artisan cheese company, CannonBelles, located in Cannon Falls, MN. Their artisanal cheeses include: Tuscan Cheddar, Queso Fresco, Painted Desert Cheddar, Cheddar, Gouda and Curds which you can find in stores across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and North Dakota. They also own and run CannonBelles Coffee and Ice Cream where they serve up local coffee, ice cream, breakfast and lunch (including their famous grilled cheese). Plus, you can purchase their delicious cheeses any time on their website!

There is congratulations in order, CannonBelles just broke ground on a new cheese plant! Check out this video of their groundbreaking here.
