Member Spotlight: Keepsake Cidery
Have you met Nate Watters and Tracy Jonkman of Keepsake Cidery? They’re our CVG Member Spotlight of the week!
Keepsake Cidery is a family owned cidery, orchard and tasting room whose aim is to produce delicious, high quality cider from simple ingredients and time honored methods. Planted in 2014 and named for the hardy keepsake apple introduced by the University of Minnesota, Keepsake Cidery uses all local apples and was one of the first in North America to go all wild cider. The yeasts naturally ferment to produce something unique, regional, and changing every year.
Keepsake believes in supporting small, diverse local producers through the ingredients they use in creating their toasties and nosh, and are always looking for ways to create local food collaborations with nearby producers.
You can join Keepsake for Friday Night Cookout, tomorrow October 2nd from 4 – 9 p.m. as Scotty’s Whole Hog Barbecue cooks up a delicious whole hog bbq meal.
And while you’re at it, check out Keepsake’s recent feature in Mpls.St.Paul Magazine. It is a beautifully written piece that celebrates what a special place Keepsake is. Read it here:
