Member Spotlight: Seeds Farm
Have you met Becca Carlson of Seeds Farm? She’s our CVG Member Spotlight of the week!
Seeds Farm is a 50-acre organic farm that grows 15 acres of certified organic and GAP vegetables located in Northfield, Minnesota. Becca started farming ten years ago out of a passion for the environment, knowing that one of the biggest ways we interact with our ecosystems is through agriculture. Becca strives for the triple bottom line of sustainability: social, environmental, and financial. The farm grows over 30 varieties of vegetables for wholesale and delivers fresh, organic produce to the Twin Cities metro area twice a week between May – February. Wholesale customers include:
-Food Co-ops
-Distributors
-Processors
-Public Schools
-Food Shelfs
-Corporate and University Cafeterias
-Restaurants
-Food Hubs
-Food Producers
Seeds Farm is certified organic by MOSA (Midwest Organic Service Association) and are GAP certified through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.
As National Farm to School month wraps up, we are grateful for farmers like Becca who are growing nutrient dense food to feed our community!
