Member Spotlight: The Greensted

Have you met Dean and Jayne Bredlau of The Greensted? They’re our CVG Member Spotlight of the week!

The Greensted is an urban farm-to-table grower located in Zumbrota, Minnesota that specializes in year-round growing of microgreens, seasonal salad greens and garden produce. The Greensted began in 2016 after Dean’s excitement to grow things led to Jayne and Dean brainstorming how to extend Minnesota’s growing season. As they took a deep-dive into researching regenerative growing, microgreens kept coming to the forefront. With some seeds, soil, flats and a heated garage, they began on a path towards growing the type of produce they wanted to eat. The Greensted has become a thriving business that offers 18+ varieties of microgreens and 4 custom blends that stay true to their mission: ‘Sustain, Regenerate and Connect’. You can find The Greensted at co-ops, grocery stores, restaurants and farmers markets throughout Southeastern Minnesota.
